Frequently asked questions

Is the game free?

Yes, Mulo is completely free. There are no purchases, no subscription and no paid content. The site is funded by the advertising shown on its pages.

Do I need an account or a download?

No. The game runs directly in your browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. Just click "Play" on the home page.

How do I save my game?

Every position in the game is a page with its own address. To come back later, bookmark the current page or keep the tab open. You will find exactly the same level.

How many levels are there?

The game has 200 levels, with a landing every ten levels, each rewarded with its own fruit.

Does the right hole change between games?

No. The right hole of each level is always the same. That is why memory matters so much: what you learn in one game helps you in the next.

Why are the colours hidden on some levels?

Those are the landings, placed every ten levels. The colours are replaced by a yin-yang symbol to make the challenge harder. A bad pick drops you 5 levels (10 from landing 50 onwards), but once a landing is cleared it protects you from falling below it.

What do the hearts and fruits mean?

In the history, a heart marks each level you have cleared. Fruits replace the heart on landings: apple, banana, cherries, grapes, orange, watermelon, strawberry, pineapple, pear, peach, kiwi, lemon, mango, coconut, blueberries, melon, tomato, avocado, olive and lime. They show at a glance how far you have gone.

What does the red cross mean?

It appears on a landing you have already cleared, in place of the falling hole. Since you have already passed this landing, you cannot drop below it, so that hole is closed.

Why does Mulo keep changing faces?

Mulo reacts to each move with a bubble and an expression: happy, embarrassed, bored, proud or in tears. For each situation he has a whole set of expressions, picked at random every time. Meet them on the Mulo page.

How does competition mode work?

The competition mode times your climb through the first 100 levels. At the finish you enter a nickname of up to 15 characters, and the 10 best times are shown on the high scores page. Only your best time is kept for a given nickname.

Is the game suitable for children?

Yes. The kids mode is designed for them: two holes instead of three, no falls, 50 levels and a fruit for every level cleared. The level number is always shown at the top of the page.

Does the game work on a phone?

Yes, the pages adapt to the screen size. The game plays just as easily with a finger as with a mouse.

Does the game use cookies?

The site uses audience measurement and advertising cookies. Everything is explained on the cookies page, and you can change your choices at any time.
