The hero of the game is called Mulo. He is a little mouse with brown fur, a cream belly and big pink ears, always looking for something to nibble. With every move, he dives into the hole you picked and tells you what he found there.
Mulo is very expressive. Depending on the outcome of your choice, his mood changes, and for each mood he has a whole series of faces picked at random. Playing again also means discovering new expressions.

Mulo is inspired by a real animal: the wood mouse. This small rodent of the Muridae family mainly belongs to the genus Apodemus. The best known species in Europe is the common wood mouse, which lives in woods, hedges, fields and sometimes gardens.
The wood mouse is about 8 to 11 centimetres long, plus a tail almost as long as its body. It is recognisable by its big black eyes, wide ears and long hind legs, which let it make surprising leaps. It is mostly active at night.
It feeds on seeds, acorns, hazelnuts, fruit, buds and small insects. In autumn it hides food in burrows or under roots to get through the winter, and finds its stores thanks to an excellent memory for places, exactly what you will need to progress in the game!
In nature, the wood mouse digs and visits many tunnels in search of food or shelter. The game builds on this idea: on each level there are three holes, and only one hides Mulo's meal. It is up to you to help him remember the right path.
